Art has always been a huge part of my life ever since I was a child, spending many hours on my own drawing whatever my imagination could conjure up. It wasn’t until I was in my teenage life I realised I had a true flair for Art. I had always taken photos from a young age, Having my first camera from the age of 9, It was only in my university years I found how much I loved Image-making through photography. I spent many hours of my studio time in the darkroom learning the skills of Black and White development, I fell in love with this process it is now the backbone of my work.
My style when I shoot can be very different depending on where and what I am shooting. As a rule of thumb, I would normally use 35mm film cameras whenever photographing a town or city, this medium lends itself perfectly to how I like my images to look. I have to do very little to no post-processing to get the look I am after with 35mm. I do tend to shoot in B&W, I have shot in colour negs and slide film however I am yet to develop a roll of colour. There is something magical about knowing there are images on a roll of film but not knowing what those images are. For those that are interested the Camera I tend to use is an Olympus OM-10, 3 lenses, 28mm, 50mm and 135mm for me this works perfectly, If I need to I can just shoot in Aperture priority mode or take full control when the mood takes me.
When shooting landscapes, woodland or certain city images my I will use my OMD EM5 MK ii or EM2 MK ii with a variety of lenses. For me, the Olympus system is everything I need to be creative. Landscape work is the opposite of how I would shoot in a town or city. In a city environment, I would point compose shoot move on very quickly. My landscapes are very slow, think about what I am composing in detail before taking the image. I am a big believer that when in nature the photo is second to being outdoors. If you get a shot while on a walk all the better.
My Goals
In the months and years to come I have several aims, to be selling my prints, and exhibiting my work in local galleries are my main two goals for the next year. One is to be working with clients on photo assignments and project work to create exciting new imagery. If you think my style might suit a project you have please feel free to contact me I will always respond.
The main goal I have is to improve my skills, create and develop my own style that I am proud to show the world.
Thank you for visiting, You have made my day.

It all begins with an idea my idea is to turn a hobby into my life. If you enjoy what I do and would like to support me I would love a beer next time I’m out shooting.
